A nine-year-old cancer patient may be forced to leave America before finishing the only treatment that could save his life. Alex Goodwin traveled from Leicester in England to Kansas late last year in a desperate bid to cure his advanced bone cancer. Though doctors removed the cancer, he still needs months of proton beam therapy – a highly-specialised form of radiotherapy.
