Localised prostate cancer represents an interesting conundrum – often a disease with long disease-specific survival, active treatment options often carry significant functional implications related to urinary function and erectile function. While there has been a lot of literature comparing these outcomes using different treatment modalities, there has been increasing focus on patient-reported outcomes rather than physician-reported outcomes due to the increasing understanding of the discrepancy between the two sources.
