Bandage ‘delivers radiotherapy directly to the tumour and could pave the way for new treatment’

A radioactive bandage individually tailored to tumours of all shapes and sizes could offer a new, more affordable treatment for skin cancer, a study has revealed. The plaster, which harnesses the cancer-busting power of radiotherapy, eradicated tumours in three out of 10 cases, over the course of 15 days. The remaining seven cases saw the size of tumour shrink dramatically, researchers at the University of North Texas noted.
