Boy with rare cancer will have ‘Ashya King’ therapy after £100,000 raised in one month

A youngster denied the same life-saving cancer treatment as Ashya King is to be treated overseas after well-wishers donated £120,000. The parents of two-year-old Alexander Vinson were distraught when NHS bosses said his rare brain tumour was “not on the list” for treatment. But after his plight was highlighted by the Daily Mirror and on social media, well-wishers flocked to raise money for private treatment.
