Callum gets on his bike to fund cutting-edge cancer treatment

A radiotherapy physicist was among 30 members of staff from two hospitals who took part in a 220-mile cycle ride recently to raise money for a new specialist cancer treatment which is to become available in the UK in 2018. Callum Gillies (24), a radiotherapy physicist at University College London Hospital, was among those who joined a group from the Christie NHS Foundation Trust to ride from Manchester to London to raise funds for the UK’s first NHS high-energy proton-beam therapy centres.
