Harley Street to open UK’s first proton beam cancer care unit

Two AIM-listed healthcare companies will this week unveil plans to develop an advanced cancer treatment machine to be housed in a 12,000 sq ft Harley Street site. Hospital operator Circle Holdings will team up with Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) to run Britain’s first high energy proton beam cancer therapy unit. It will cost an estimated £26m.
