Matt Rackley on the ‘recovery road’ back home in Maidenhead after US treatment

Matt Rackley is ‘on the recovery road’ after two months of proton therapy and says he is feeling ‘great’. The 24-year-old is back in Maidenhead after flying out to Oklahoma in October for the high-tech cancer treatment for a brain tumour. Proton therapy, which is not available on the NHS, uses a highly concentrated beam to kill cancerous cells, without damaging healthy tissue around the tumour.
