Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital’s targeted radiotherapy appeal hits £600,000 target

An appeal to raise £600,000 to give better treatment to cancer patients in Norfolk has reached its target in just 18 months. The money will be used to revamp rooms in the Colney Centre for targeted radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
Known as brachytherapy, the radiotherapy will be targeted internally on tumours, meaning patients can be given a higher dosage.
