North Wales cancer centre to get ‘equipment lifeline’

Health bosses have agreed a deal to invest in new radiotherapy equipment at a specialist centre, after warnings over waiting lists. £1.7m is needed to replace an ageing machine at Glan Clwyd Hospital’s North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre in Denbighshire. The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has been told radiotherapy waiting times are “a serious concern”.
