The former head of cancer treatment at Cornwall’s main hospital fears vital radiotherapy treatments could be moved away from Cornwall to Devon if the Government has its way. Janet Shephard, former head of radiotherapy at Treliske and trustee of the Sunrise Appeal, believes patients’ lives could take a turn for the worse if they have to travel all the way to Derriford, Exeter or further still to Bristol for their daily chemo and radiotherapy treatments.
