Study suggests non-invasive Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy is feasible for treating large non-small cell lung cancer tumours

Non-invasive stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is effective and well-tolerated by patients with inoperable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumours that are larger than 5 cm but had not spread from the lung to the lymph nodes or outside of the chest, according to a study published in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics.
