“They have made us beg for our daughter’s life”

The family of a two-year-old diagnosed with a rare brain tumour, who has been refused funding for pioneering treatment in America, say they have lost their dignity in begging for their daughter’s life. Freya Bevan was diagnosed with a PNET tumour in May last year. This week, her parents, John Paul and Katherine Bevan, have been left devastated after the Welsh NHS refused to fund Proton beam therapy in America.
