Catherine qualified as a Therapeutic Radiographer in 1997 and commenced her career in cancer care at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in London. Catherine also worked at the London Regional Cancer Centre in Canada, a large public tertiary hospital committed to the latest technology and approaches to radiotherapy. Returning to the UK in 2001 Catherine started work at The Harley Street Clinic. She led the Pre-Treatment services and contributed to developing the Clinic’s first private satellite radiotherapy service within an NHS Trust. Catherine is a co-author in a number of international journals with a focus on image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and digital workflows and has completed post graduate study in Radiographer Led Breast and Palliative Planning and Consent. Catherine now works part time as a Pre-Treatment Radiographer and Dosimetrist at Kent Oncology Centre. In addition Catherine works in Partnership Liaison for Icon Group, Australia’s largest provider of cancer care with services in New Zealand, Singapore and China. In 2017 Icon became a Vanguard Partner of the Union for International Cancer Control and Founding Partner of the City Cancer Challenge 2025. Catherine manages this partnership and is passionate about improving access to world class cancer care internationally. She is passionate that patients receive the best cancer care available and strongly believes that likeminded peers working together can make a difference.
