Head of Radiotherapy Physics - (Band 8d)

There is an exciting opportunity to join UHBW and become Head of Radiotherapy Physics in a leading Cancer Centre with strong links to the South West Radiotherapy Network and the University of Bristol. The Centre has five Elekta Versa HD linacs with Agility MLCs delivering a large volume of VMAT treatments. Planning is performed on Raystation with imaging available on 2 dedicated 4D CT scanners and access to MRI. For brachytherapy the Centre uses a Varian Brachyvision HDR system and intracranial SRS/SRT is provided using the relocatable frame capable GammaKnife Icon system.

Advanced Radiographer - National Trials QA team - (Band 7)

(Flexible and / or part-time working will be considered). An opportunity has arisen within the group, ideal for those looking to broaden their radiotherapy experience and knowledge. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, have exemplary communication skills and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team. You will be the lead contact for a number of trials, performing or assisting with all aspects of QA, including protocol development, contour and planning reviews, and dosimetry audit. You will work closely with trial recruiting centres and support trial participation through interactive workshops and site visits. You will have the chance to collaborate with national and international groups, showcase work at meetings and conferences and be supported in undertaking post-graduate study.

Familiarity with MRI is highly desirable although full training will be available.

Radiotherapy Dosimetrist - (Band 6)

SCAN Pathway Lead Navigator & CT Radiographer - (Band 6)

The post is suitable for a radiographer with an interest or experience in CT who would like to work as part of a dedicated and professional team, to provide holistic care and support to patients referred to Radiology under the SCAN Pathway. Specialist Technologist (Engineering Technician) Radiotherapy - (Band 6)

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our existing Radiotherapy Technology Group (RTG), to help maintain and repair our state of the art X-Ray Linear Accelerators and CT imaging equipment. To qualify for this exciting and demanding role, the candidate must possess a Degree (or HND/HNC plus experience) in an appropriate engineering discipline. They should also be able to demonstrate substantial experience working within an engineering environment where maintenance activities and fault finding are regularly performed. Previous experience in Radiotherapy Engineering is desirable, although equipment specific training will be provided by a combination of the equipment manufacturers and in-house technologists. Full manufacturer training will be provided to enable the individuals to work independently.
