Radiotherapy Pre-treatment Superintendent Radiographer - (Band 8a)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced therapeutic radiographer to join the Radiotherapy department at the Royal Free London as the pre-treatment superintendent. We are looking for a candidate with proven team leadership and communication skills who will be responsible for the operational management of the pre-treatment area, ensuring optimum use of staffing and equipment resources to ensure delivery of a high level of service and patient care whilst complying with national standards. Successful applicants will have significant clinical and pre-treatment experience, be highly motivated and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to developing themselves and helping develop our service.

Clinical Scientist - Principal Radiotherapy Physicist (XR08) - (Band 8a)

Applications are invited for the permanent Band 8A post of Clinical Scientist, Principal Radiotherapy Physicist, in the Dept. Medical Physics and Engineering, Leeds Cancer Centre, St James’s University Hospital.This is a great opportunity for a radiotherapy physicist with knowledge and skills in radiotherapy appropriate to the level of a Medical Physics Expert (MPE). Knowledge and experience at this level in one of either brachytherapy or stereotactic radiosurgery is essential, and desirable in both. A track record in research and training is also desirable. The post-holder will provide expertise and support for the brachytherapy and/or Gamma knife stereotactic radiosurgery section within radiotherapy physics, and will also be required to support other areas within radiotherapy physics.

Senior radiotherapy engineer - (Band 7)

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospital - Swindon, Swindon

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new senior engineer/technologist to join our Radiotherapy Technical Services (RTS) team. The post holder will be mainly responsible for two Varian True-Beam linacs in our new Great Western Hospital (GWH) satellite unit in Swindon. Building of the satellite unit starts in Spring 2020 and is planned to open in Spring/Summer 2021. As well as the two linacs there is a CT planning suite, with close ties to the host centre in Oxford. We are looking to recruit to this post now as a linac replacement programme will be underway in Oxford in 2020, so the postholder will initially be working with our team in Oxford before their role starts in Swindon.
