Radiotherapy Engineer - (Band 8a)

The Radiotherapy Physics team at Barts is looking for an experienced radiotherapy engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team carrying out reactive and preventive first line maintenance and Quality Assurance on the whole range of the departments radiotherapy equipment. The work is undertaken as part of a Varian Managed Equipment Service. The position would be suitable for someone who has already worked in a clinical radiotherapy department or for a linac manufacturer in a service role.

Head of Radiotherapy Physics Service - Band 8D

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the dynamic team at the North West Cancer Centre. The Head of the Radiotherapy Physics Service provides expert advice on radiotherapy techniques, service developments and the optimisation of radiotherapy techniques. The post holder will be a registered clinical scientist, a certified Medical Physics Expert, and manage the Radiotherapy Physics Service to provide a highly specialised and innovative service to the North West Cancer Centre Radiotherapy department.

Principal Clinical Scientist - Radiotherapy Physics - (Band 8a)

Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre G12 0YN

A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic Principal Clinical Scientist to join the Equipment and Dosimetry Section of Radiotherapy Physics at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The Centre operates thirteen Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, with a wide range of specialised VMAT planning techniques including SABR for a wide range of clinical sites, many delivered using FFF technology. The successful candidate will be based at Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow but may be required to carry out some duties at the Lanarkshire Beatson satellite centre in Airdrie, Lanarkshire. You should hold a 1st or upper 2nd class honours degree in Physics or allied subject. A recognised MSc in Medical Physics and a Dip IPEM in Physical Sciences in Medicine or equivalent experience is required.

Radiotherapy Physicist - (Band 7)

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the provision of the existing service to Radiotherapy including treatment planning, dosimetry, QA and brachytherapy. The successful candidate must be HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist or expected to achieve registration within the next 12 months. The post holder will be expected to provide routine support to the QMH site for up to 20% of their time.

Radiotherapy Physicist (Clinical Scientist) - (Band 7)

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Derby Hospital, Derby

The post holder will be required to work closely and collaboratively with Clinical Oncologists, Therapy Radiographers and Senior Managers to ensure a high quality Radiotherapy Physics service is maintained and developed. Routine clinical work includes provision of a comprehensive radiotherapy treatment planning and checking service, including VMAT and SABR and brachytherapy. The remit of the department also covers development of existing techniques, implementation of new procedures, training of clinical staff and the evaluation, selection, acceptance testing, commissioning and calibration of radiotherapy equipment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, caring and highly motivated therapy radiographer to work as a Band 7 Team Leader within the Pre-treatment team. The role will include working in all key areas of the Pre-treatment suite which include Siemens CT scanners, Virtual simulation and Mould room, in addition there will be opportunities to work in MRI to gain competencies in MR imaging for Radiotherapy planning. Clinical Scientist (Radiotherapy Physics) - (Band 7)

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, New Cross, wolverhampton

The main role of this post is to provide support to all aspects of the work of the Radiotherapy Physics Group. Duties will include radiotherapy treatment planning and checking, treatment machine calibration and quality assurance procedures including carrying out of dosimetry equipment inter-comparisons to the relevant standard. The post holder will assist in the commissioning of new treatment equipment and the development of new treatment techniques. An advanced knowledge of computing/networking systems and applications of software applicable to radiotherapy physics is highly desirable. Job holder is expected to actively participate in resolving computing and other IT related issues under the guidance of a computing scientist.

Therapeutic Treatment Radiographer - (Band 6)
