Naman Julka- Anderson

Macmillan Review Radiographer

The Beacon Centre, Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton

Naman completed his MSc in Radiotherapy & Oncology at UWE Bristol, qualifying in 2017. He now works as a Macmillan review radiographer helping patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. He also helps provide clinical supervision to staff across the hospital and has interests in radiotherapy research - presenting a poster at UKRCO 2018. Naman is also a STEM ambassador for the West of England. He uses this role to promote the benefits of STEM subjects, raise the profile of radiotherapy and cancer awareness within local schools in Somerset. He also gives career talks and runs STEM workshops for students of all ages at local schools and colleges. Working closely with the education team within his department, they have successfully set up work experience programmes with over 5 schools in Somerset. Naman enjoys competing in triathlons and long distance runs in fancy dress; he is looking forward to fundraising for Action Radiotherapy in the future. Naman is passionate about patient care, promoting radiotherapy and STEM subjects along with improving student retention. He is very privileged and humbled to be part of a network of likeminded professionals who aim to bring about positive change.

How you can help

Action Radiotherapy is comprised of radiotherapy professionals who, while working to treat patients, also volunteer their time to us. We want to say a huge THANK YOU to these, often forgotten, frontline workers - the Therapeutic Radiographers, the physicists and the clinicians.
